A Brief Review About iPad 10.2in (2019)

Apple’s new devices do not seem to be very affordable due to the fact that these devices are equipped with the premium features and specs. In this scenario, many people wonder if there could be any way to have an experience of the Apple’s ecosystem. IPads have been quite considerable in this regard because their entry-level models let the users experience the ecosystem we are talking about. And many people have had complains about these entry-level iPads in the past.

Good news is that the new Apple iPad 10.2in (2019) tends to give a nice experience of the Apple’s ecosystem. In this article, we are going to share a short review of Apple iPad 10.2in (2019).

This iPad comes with a boost in the screen size as compared to last year’s iPad 9.7in. Another change that iPad 10.2in has to offer is its support to Smart Connector, which wasn’t supported by iPad 9.7in. It has the same A10 processor which was present in the last year’s iPad. Due to its increased size, it is a bit heavier as compared to iPad 9.7in. Both of these models are available with internal storage options of 32GB and 128GB. And the battery life of both models is 10 hours.

While you may start seeing no reason to upgrade to this iPad if you already have iPad 9.7in, there are a few things that may entice you to go for this upgrade. For instance, it is available at a low price of $329, it offers an extra viewing room, and it supports Smart Connector. These features make this iPad the best entry-level Apple device you can have.

Wider horizons
The most obvious difference between iPad 10.2in and iPad 9.7in is the screen size. IPad 10.2in comes with the screen size of 6.8x9.8 inches. On the other hand, the last year’s iPad had the screen size of 6.6x9.4 inches. The current iPad model is quite similar to iPad Air. The only difference between iPad 10.2in and iPad Air is that the iPad Air is thinner.

With increased size, the current model offers a boost in the size of display. The un-laminated LED display with a screen resolution of 2160x1620 pixels is surely attractive. The last year’s iPad was available with the screen resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. However, pixel density of both of the models is same, 264ppi.

On paper, this difference look tiny but you may have compared iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. They surely feel different from the perspective of size. That’s the feeling you get when you compare both models.

Smart Connector
With the availability of Smart Connector, this iPad can be connected with the iPad Air's Smart Keyboard. This Keyboard offers support to the iPad tilt position through its origami style. However, this tilt remains at a certain angle only.

Although the keyboard doesn’t offer much of the key travel, it’s is certainly enjoyable once you get used to it.

Performance
We normally discuss about the processor performance while talking about the performance of any device with a screen. But the case with iPad 10.2in is different. Since this iPad comes with the A10 processor (the same chip used in the last year’s model), there is nothing much to talk about in this regard. But with the bigger screen, you can do better graphical work on this iPad. And the best part is that its processor still supports smooth running of most of the apps.
